Scott Yarborough and Pipe

1981 is often remembered as the year daylight savings time was introduced in the Soviet Union. While this event would have far reaching consequences, it is perhaps September 4, 1981 that would have a more global impact. This is the day that a star was born. That star was a child of destiny. That star is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, or as the world would come to know her, Beyoncé.

September 4, 1981 also marks the beginning of the life of Scott Yarborough. From his humble beginnings in Garden Grove, CA, Scott knew his path would differ from that of Beyoncé's. His journey has led him to the world of stand-up comedy and the important role of wedding officiant.

Scott Yarborough started performing stand up comedy after graduating college from California State University, Fullerton. In 2009 he was named one of Orange County's Funniest People. Shayne Michael (KAS Comedy Etc) has said of Scott, "There's a reason this guy gets compared to Seinfeld so often. He finds comedy in places everyone overlooks, like a Pringles jar."

2009 marks the year Scott began his other passion: performing weddings. What began as a favor for a friend has blossomed into a fulfilling side project. Scott's blend of humor and heartfelt admiration for any couple making the leap makes for a unique and satisfying wedding service.

Who knows what the future holds for Scott Yarborough, Beyoncé Knowles and the Soviet Union? Perhaps all three can take inspiration from the lyrics to the hit song by Destiny's Child, Survivor:

I'm a survivor
I'm not gonna give up
I'm not gon' stop
I'm gonna work harder
